Main Characteristics Of Powder Coating Equipment

Due to the absence of organic solvents and water in powder coatings, which are in the form of solid powder, this characteristic determines that their construction methods are clearly different from traditional solvent based coatings and water-soluble coatings. The spraying process can be divided into two types: hot spraying and cold spraying. Thermal spraying is a method of heating from the beginning to the end, where the powder coating melts and then is applied to the workpiece, resulting in leveling and coating. Cold spraying, on the other hand, is a method of applying powder onto a workpiece at room temperature using various methods, and then using heating or radiation curing to cause the coating to melt, level, and form an excellent coating film. The powder electrostatic spraying method belongs to spraying, which can be divided into high-voltage electrostatic spraying and conflict electrostatic spraying according to the principle. The equipment also follows these two methods to distinguish.

Powder coating equipment uses a coating machine equipped with an atomizing nozzle (to atomize the coating) and a discharge electrode (to generate an electric current) to atomize the coating, and apply an electric charge to the particles, thereby creating an electric field between the electrode and the object to be coated, and using its electrostatic adsorption effect for coating.

Main features of powder coating equipment:
1. Manual, automatic, or a combination of manual and automatic painting equipment can be selected.
2. Recyclable free powder with a recycling rate of over 98%.
3. Suspended transportation system with high level of automation.
4. The coating has small micropores, good anti-corrosion function, and can be used for thick film coating equipment in one go.
