What are the requirements for the drying room during painting equipment operation

For any painting process, corresponding painting equipment will be used, and the drying room is used for heating, drying, and curing the coating during the painting equipment operation. In order to ensure the safety of the entire coating equipment operation, there are fundamental safety skill requirements for the planning, production, equipment, inspection, operation, and repair of the coating drying room.

Before operating the painting equipment, it is necessary to implement corresponding safety measures such as fire prevention, explosion prevention, and gas prevention for its drying room; Because the coating of the workpiece will release flammable, combustible vapors or gases during the dry and curing process, it is necessary to install safety ventilation equipment in the drying room and strictly control the concentration of combustible gases between them.

The exhaust outlet of the drying room of the painting equipment should be located in an area with a high concentration of combustible gases. Each drying room should have its own exhaust pipe and should not share the exhaust pipe with other equipment. If it is a multi zone drying room, it is agreed to set up a waste gas discharge main pipe to provide safety assurance for the operation of painting equipment.

It should be noted that the safety ventilation system of the drying room should not use natural ventilation; If a waste heat recovery heat exchanger is installed under the exhaust pipe, measures should be taken to prevent condensed matter from blocking the exhaust system, and the exhaust pipe and maintenance port should maintain excellent airtightness.

The drying room used in the painting equipment operation will inevitably be equipped with an electric heater, so it is required to be insulated from the metal bracket. When using exposed resistance wires as heating elements in the drying room operation area, protective measures should be taken to prevent electrical short circuits.

As much as possible, set up temperature automatic control and over temperature alarm devices for the drying room, and use combustible gas concentration alarms to directly monitor the explosion risk concentration. In this way, when any problems arise, the alarm can be promptly announced to prevent more severe losses.
